When I started working with this company, we were starting almost from scratch.
There was no website or social media presence yet. The brand itself was also still taking shape, so there wasn’t an established identity guiding how the company showed up online.
That gave us the opportunity to build the foundation first.
My early work focused on understanding who the business wanted to reach and how it should communicate.
I developed the audience personas, researched competitors, and worked on the brand’s visual direction, voice, and tone.
Then came the first website.
I designed and developed the site, wrote the SEO copy, and started building the company’s presence across social media.
Later that year, the client shared this with us:
I think that sums up that first chapter of the work pretty well.
More than a year later, we found ourselves looking at the website again.
By then, we knew more about the customers and had years of marketing experience behind us. The business had evolved too.
It was time for the website to catch up.
We reworked the structure and revisited the messaging before building the next version of the site.
After it launched, the client shared feedback they had been hearing internally:
Seeing the website contribute to those conversations made the rebuild worth it.

My role has expanded over the years as the company’s marketing has grown.
I regularly work on SEO content and website updates, including keyword-led blogs and campaign landing pages.
For social media, I handle the content process end to end. That includes planning, copy, Reels, carousels, graphics, Stories, publishing, and engagement.
I also work on monthly email campaigns and support promotions through ideation, messaging, and the digital assets needed for each campaign.
The work is collaborative. I work with a marketing manager who supervises the account and reviews our projects, while I handle much of the ongoing digital marketing execution.
The website had also started appearing for relevant searches around pool paint, specific products, and location-based queries.
Social content
Because I’ve worked with this company over several years, the numbers below come from different points in the engagement.
In February 2025, the website recorded 498 new users.
By May 2026, organic search visitors had a 57.14% engagement rate, the strongest engagement rate among the major traffic channels that month.
One February 2025 campaign was sent to 2,480 recipients and recorded a:

click rate
In May 2026, paid promotion expanded the brand’s visibility on Facebook, reaching 44,718 viewers and generating 108,767 views.
Instagram content interactions also increased from 8 in April to 18 in May.
Over the years, I’ve worked across:
I work on the account alongside a marketing manager who provides oversight and reviews our projects and campaigns.
I think that’s what I appreciate most about long-term client work.
You get to see the business change.
The first website made sense for where the company was at the time. Years later, we had more information and a better understanding of what the business needed, so we built again.
The same thing continues to happen across content, SEO, social media, and email.
There’s always something we’re learning from the work and taking into whatever we do next.
